Sigma Machine was asked by Tekna Solutions to help reduce cost and increase quality of a monitor arm they manufacture for the Stryker Endoscopy video cart. One area of concern was the locking device, which was expensive and not very robust. Sigma developed a simple yet effective pin-locking device using 2 helical tracks and a J-slot. The prototype was successful and Sigma manufactured this arm in production quantities for many years.
