Maintenance Technician
Description:
Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC machine repairs / maintenance in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision. Position requires all work must be completed in compliance with Sigma Machine safety policies, EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations. This is a 2nd shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing operations in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
- Safely, professionally, and efficiently complete machine maintenance, installation, repair, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve operational uptime and equipment life.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery as well as similar types of industrial equipment and machinery.
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic blueprints.
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes and standards.
- Must have a working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or verifiable GED.
- 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or related environment.
- Must be familiar with hydraulics and pneumatics, instrumentation and other mechanical systems of CNC Machines.
- Prefer 3 years experience in CNC Machine repair with strong background d in mechanical, hydraulic, and overall machine troubleshooting.
- Must be familiar with OSHA regulations for industry and safe work practices dealing with machine repair.
Physical Activities and requirements:
- Requires ability to stand or walk on continuous basis.
- Ability to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and talk or hear.
- Must be able to repetitively lift and or move.
