Production Operator 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Description: 

Looking for Production Operators for 2nd & 3rd Shift to perform all production duties, including machine operation, quality checks, recordkeeping/documentation and housekeeping.  Keep a well-organized and efficient work area and strive to be a team member helping everyone else to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities: 
  • Operate assigned machine safely and efficiently
  • Complete all required documentation
  • Perform all required quality checks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Meet or exceed established production rates
  • Be timely to work and stay at assigned work center during work hours
  • Report any/all quality issues/concerns
  • Keep a positive attitude and do not cause or participate in issues with fellow associates.  Be respectful of all employees of Sigma machine
  • Have good attendance
    • Follow proper call in procedures when an absence is unavoidable
  • Understand and follow safe work practices
  • Work overtime as required to ensure production requirements are met
Requirements: 
  • Read and understand written instructions/prints/communications
  • Familiar with machine functions and operations
    • CNC vertical mills, or others as required
  • Understand proper use of basic metrology equipment
    • Calipers, height gage, pin gages, etc.
  • Be competent in basic math skills
    • Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

Physical Requirements     

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs  as part of the normal work day routine
  • Must be able to twist, bend and stoop with ease repeatedly as part of the normal work day routine
  • Must be able to reach into CNC machine to secure material for machining repeatedly as part of the normal work day routine
  • Must be able to reach in CNC machine to remove finished aluminum parts repeatedly as part of the normal work day routine
  • Must be able to get into and out of tight enclosed areas (inside machinery ) to perform PM duties
  • Must be able to fully utilize arms and hands in order to inspect parts and to use the required measuring tools
